Critical thinking is about acquiring heuristics regarding challenging the status quo or myths of research. But more importantly, critical thinking is about widening one’s horizon, based on the assumption that a wider horizon is a better horizon because it allows for a better understanding and a drawing on more sources for decisions than a narrow horizon.
